History

Hamburger Heaven was born in 1982, when Jack Caddell (who started Jack's) opened the first restaurant on Highway 78 in Irondale, Alabama. Jack turned the small restaurant into a successful business and ran operations until 1992, when he sold the local landmark to Eli Stevens (who owns another landmark, Lloyd's) Mr. Stevens soon placed Pete Flach at the helm of the flourishing business. Mr. Flach opened a 2nd location in 1997, as demand increased and Birmingham grew south into Shelby County.

Hamburger Heaven was named #1 Hamburger by USA Today in 1992 and has been recognized as the "Best Hamburger in Birmingham" on numerous occasions by the Birmingham News (most recently in 2008).

Since the beginning, Hamburger Heaven has always used only the highest quality of fresh ground beef and ingredients for our hamburgers.

Recently we opened stores in Homewood and Gardendale and we are pursuing other locations as well. We expect to continually grow and we are committed to keeping our quality as high as it was when we opening in 1982.
